I love the webcam! I sat glued to my pc monitor, waiting for Nancy Smith to go flying by with her shopping trolley.... but only saw a van struggling to reverse park;-) Seriously though, brilliant idea - makes me feel as if I were there again! Merry Christmas Durrow!

Is there a Brophy in here? I am dragging the family across in a camper van at the end of October to have a good look around the place. Would there be any chance of a cup o' tea with a Durrow Brophy, any one will do? If you are reading this and you know a Brophy could you pass a message on please, I have lost record of email adressess. Thanks.

Nice hearing from you, Martin. No one is better than my Aunt Bonnie at rapidly sorting out inquiries like yours. As she and you are second cousins, you and I are second cousins once removed. I suppose you'd be a nephew of the late Mik and 'Blackie' Tom. If so, that makes you a first cousin of 'Big Tom' Kenna formerly of the Derry Road now clear on the other end of the universe in Abbeyleix! At last now Abbeyleix has a fine singer! FYI, I can be contacted directly at seancey@yahoo.com. All the best!

Was in Durrow in June for a short visit with my grandmother's cousin Nancy Smith but came away feeling like I was leaving home! Thanks to everyone, particularly cousin Nancy who had me laughing (and walking) more than I ever have in my life, Hughie & Kay Sheppard for their fantastic hospitality, aswell as John who drove me around to see the sites and 'Mr. Bob's Bar' himself who produced a lot of old photos of my uncle George West in his hurling days, for me to copy. Unfortunately they didn't copy very clearly but the visit itself was a dream come true, better than I could ever have imagined. It was an unreal experience to walk where my grandmother and great-grandparents did almost 100 years ago, to say Mass in the same Church they attended and to be enveloped in the warmth of the Irish spirit! Thank you so much to you all! Sheridan
